Age 84, went to be with Jesus September 9, 2016, at his Upland home. Larry was born and raised in Ontario and graduated in 1952 where he was presented the Bank Of America award in Mechanical Arts. Larry was a Korean Army War Veteran who served his country proudly. He was a Boy Scout Leader, as well as a Girl Scout Leader with his wife Esther for 15 years. Age 84, went to be with Jesus September 9, 2016, at his Upland home. Larry was born and raised in Ontario and graduated in 1952 where he was presented the Bank Of America award in Mechanical Arts. Larry was a Korean Army War Veteran who served his country proudly. He was a Boy Scout Leader, as well as a Girl Scout Leader with his wife Esther for 15 years. Larry was always involved in activities with his four daughters, including scouting, PTA, church, and sports. He loved his family, his church, his country, visiting with his friends and neighbors, traveling, fishing, camping, and classic cars. Larry was presented the Honorary Service Award from the California Congress of the PTA, in recognition of his service to children and youth.

Larry worked 34 years for General Dynamics in Pomona, and 2 years for Hughes Aircraft in Tucson, Arizona, before retiring in 1996. In 1999 Larry went to work for TRL Systems, Inc., in Rancho Cucamonga. He worked until May of 2016. Larry was a member of the American Legion Post 1000, the Ontario Elks Lodge No. 1419, and attended the Ontario First Church of the Nazarene for over 58 years.

Larry will be truly missed by his wife of over 58 years, Esther, his children, Sherri Renek of Upland, Laura Renek of Rancho Cucamonga, Jill Renek-Smith of Apple Valley, seven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother of Robert Renek of Newhall, and many extended family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lucille Renek, two sisters, Betty (Renek) Crouch, and Lucille (Renek) De Gideo, two brothers, Harry and Victor Renek, daughter Linda Renek Perry and son David Edward Renek.

A Celebration of Larry's Life will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Ontario First Church of the Nazarene, 1311 West 5th Street, Ontario, California 91762.
